We cooked, ate, laughed and cried our way through the holidays this year. Instead of treating each event separately, I’m taking the lazy approach with a pictorial retrospective. If you see a picture you like, just click on it for a close-up and hit “escape” on the upper right hand side to get back to the page.
Here is a chronological list of our feasting feats, even if the pictures are in random order: Thanksgiving, pie party, a Bakery Noveaux visit for Daisy’s first croissant, cookie making, Christmas bunt with the Roulstons, Christmas Eve dinner with the in-laws featuring the most elaborate and delicious dessert i’ve ever made (the Paris-Brest, something like a circular éclair with hazelunt toffee pastry cream), and of course the eating of Christmas cookies.
Burnt out from all the goodness, Meghan and I only ate a bowl of cereal and a salad the day after Christmas. But we’re getting back into the swing of eating, so posts on good food are on the way.
